Shotreels Acceptable Use Policy

1. What this covers

This policy sets out what you may and may not make with the AI features of Shotreels (images, virtual people, video clips, voices, translation). It is part of the Terms of Service. Use the AI features lawfully and with respect for other people.

2. What is not allowed

Do not use Shotreels to make, request or post:

• NSFW, explicit or sexually suggestive content, including nudity, sexual acts and sexualized depictions of anyone
• any sexual content that involves minors or depicts a minor
• harmful content: violence and gore, content that promotes self-harm, terrorism or the abuse of others, hate or harassment aimed at people for who they are, and dangerous or illegal activity
• deepfakes, impersonation or face swaps of real people, or content that puts a real person's face or voice where they have not agreed
• fake reviews or testimonials, and content meant to deceive people about who made it or what it is
• content that infringes someone's copyright, trademark, privacy or portrait rights
• illegal content of any other kind

When you turn a photo into a video clip, use only photos you have the right to use. Do not use a photo of another person without their consent.

Do not try to get around these rules, for example by rewording a blocked request to get the same result. Do not remove or change the AI labels and metadata that Shotreels adds to a video, and do not present a synthetic voice as a real person.

3. Automatic screening

Text prompts used to generate images and videos, including a virtual person's scene descriptions, are screened automatically before anything is generated. The screening uses Cloudflare Workers AI and the content moderation service of our payment provider, Creem (see the Privacy Policy).

A request that is blocked is refused, produces nothing and is not charged. Screening can make mistakes. If a harmless request is blocked, change the wording or write to support@pentarab.com.

4. If you break this policy

• The request is refused.
• Repeated or serious violations can lead to the AI features being blocked for your account, or to the account being suspended or deleted. Credits that were not used may then be handled as the Terms of Service and the law provide.
• Where the law requires it, we may report illegal content to the authorities.

5. Independence and third-party AI

Shotreels is an independent product. Its AI features use models and services from third parties: Cloudflare Workers AI (translation, images, scripts and safety screening), MiniMax Hailuo 2.3 (video clips, requested through Cloudflare Workers AI) and Microsoft Azure AI Speech (voices). The virtual people are fixed characters we made, not real people. Shotreels is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by the makers of these models and services, and their names are used only to say what we use.
